In our Ballet classes the student discovers the traditional ballet classroom setting, perfects the following: classwork at the barre, center and across the floor exercises, proper technique and terminology, jumps, leaps, turns, and learns proper preparations and finishes for exercises. Modern dance is a broad genre of western concert or theatrical dance. Modern dance is considered to have emerged as a rebellion of classical ballet. Contemporary dance is a newer genre of dance that emerged in the 20th century. Over the years the two have slowly merged and become hard to clearly define. In this class, students will explore traditional modern movement and technique as well as learn its history and some of its famous founders. The class is fused with the fluidity of the new movements of contemporary. It is a genre whose movements and choreography emotionally seem to captivate the audience!\ufeff\ufeff One of our favorites at OnStage!

Essentials learned in this class can be applied and will be beneficial to all other areas of dance.
